We're not the only grubstake around, y'know. There exist the following other Grubstakes Restaurants and one B&B that we are aware of, none of which have any relation to us:

The Grubstake Bed and Breakfast in Buchanan, Virginia. This B&B is run by Ellen O'Neill and is a log building up on a hill - not near as big a "hill" as ours but it does have a nice view of the countryside. I have never actually met Ellen but we have been e-mailing for years since I found her place through the Internet.

The Grubstake Restaurant in Louisbourg, Nova Scotia. I would personally like to visit this Grubstake - the menu looks tempting. We have communicated via e-mail and shared some recipes.

The Grubstake Pizza, Kimberley, British Columbia. Dave McFadden runs this diner - they specialize in pizza and hamburgers - it looks like a great place to eat and I hope to meet Dave some day.

The Grubstake Diner on Pine Street, San Francisco, California. This one I have been to and had a great Portuguese breakfast! The original part of the restaurant is an actual old trolley car. They specialize in Portuguese cuisine. We have exchanged T-shirts and theirs is hanging on our wall.

Pat's Grubstake in Juneau, Alaska. I have not been to this Grubstake but both my sister Sharon and my brother Eugene were there on separate occasions. Sharon brought back a menu that we have posted. From what they say it is a great restaurant.
